Accounting Services is responsible for internal and external financial reporting including the annual published financial statements. The unit manages ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓÆµ-wide audits with the largest being the annual financial statement audit. Accounting Services oversees financial transactions and reconciles all ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓÆµ bank accounts, investment accounts and debt transactions. Accounting Services provides assistance and guidance to various ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓÆµ departments as they evaluate business transactions, tax issues and debt financing. The unit processes accounts payable transactions for System Administration, ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓÆµ Wide Resources, and ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓÆµ Bank, approves vendor setup for all campuses, and maintains a capital asset database for System Administration and ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓÆµ Wide Resources. In addition, the unit collaborates with campus accounting, budget and payroll offices to design and implement applicable policies and procedures and related internal controls, to ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
