Dr. Gordon H. Lamb, Interim President of the ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ of Missouri, continues the 2007 ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ Unity tour in Warrensburg today (Monday, November 26). Dr. Lamb will make a joint luncheon presentation with Dr. Aaron Podolefsky, President of ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ of Central Missouri.
The presidents will discuss the common missions of Missouri's public higher education institutions, including teaching, service and accountability. This fall, Missouri's public higher education leaders are focusing on a collaborative plan to increase graduates in the health care professions to meet the needs of the state.
Dr. Lamb and Dr. Podolefsky are to appear together during a luncheon for community leaders beginning at 11:30 a.m. today in UCM's Elliott Union Ballroom. This is the second consecutive year the ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ of Missouri's president has joined presidents of other four-year institutions on their campuses to discuss how they work together to help meet the state's goals and needs.
Dr. Lamb and his public higher education counterparts have also scheduled ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ Unity events upcoming at Missouri Western State ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ in St. Joseph; Northwest Missouri State ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ in Maryville; Truman State ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ in Kirksville; and on the four ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ of Missouri campuses, in Columbia, Kansas City, Rolla and St. Louis. The first ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ Unity event was held this fall in Springfield with Missouri State ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ.
